Buildmat supplies Decina baths to renovators and builders across Australia. Decina baths span every common bathroom layout, and is particulalry known for its freestanding contour spa baths with lumbar support. Inset baths (Shenseki, Aria, Bambino) drop into a benchtop-style surround with a tile bead edge for a clean finish against the tiles. Freestanding baths (Prezzo, Valentina, Caval, Cosmo, Oxford, Aurora) sit clear of the walls as a room centrepiece. Back-to-wall freestanding baths (Alegra, Natalia, Bianco) give you that freestanding profile at the front and sides while the rear sits flush against the wall, useful where floor space is tighter. Natalia and Bianco also come in a corner configuration for awkward layouts. For a soak with jets, the Elisi and Alegra Contour ranges are spa baths, with integrated overflow built into select models.

What we'd check before you buy

  • Inset vs freestanding vs back-to-wall. Inset needs a benchtop surround built by your tiler or stonemason. Freestanding needs clear floor space on all sides. Back-to-wall gets you the freestanding look with a smaller footprint.

  • Integrated overflow or standalone waste. Integrated overflow models build the overflow into the bath shell for a cleaner line; check which models include it before you finalise your waste and tapware.

  • Floor space for freestanding and corner models. Measure clearances before you order, since a freestanding or corner bath needs room to actually read as the centrepiece it's designed to be.

  • Bath size against your existing rough-in. If you're replacing an existing bath, check the new model's dimensions against the current waste and tap positions before you commit.
